The Montreal Rowing Club participated from August 1st to August 8th 2010, to the 128th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta. Nineteen rowers from the competitive program and nine from the master program have participated in those international regattas that take place over a week and bring together clubs from Canada, the United States, and Mexico but also from Europe. Our athletes have brilliantly performed: four wins, four second places, two third places and not less than twelve entries in the final. One of the finest harvests of the last ten years!

In the final 4 + Senior 52kg Women, Bridget Schrempf, Angelica Langlais, Natasha Caminsky, Megan Lydon and Patricia Latendresse scored a very good win after a hotly contested race. A great team effort allowed them to finish ahead the course.

In the final of 8 + Senior Women, Andreanne Morin, Olympian rower, was related to the collective of the Canadian National Team and the regatta was a real test before the next World Championships. A victory and certainty before continuing her wonderful career over the international scene!

Finally, a special nod to Catherine Sutherland, who, not content with having won the medal in her category 1x Women's Master C, had a re-up with Larry Tait on a beautiful race in 2x Mixed Master D. They both show that we can perform at any age and encourage all other rowers from the master program that we have relaunched this year. Place for them now to Master FISA World Championships 2010 in St. Catherines in early September.

We would especially like to congratulate all those rowers who have defended the colors of the Montreal Rowing Club with the most beautiful eagerness but also their coaches who devote themselves body and soul to make athletes reach the top.
